A large box of donated baseball card sets have arrived today, featuring sets from Bowman, Fleer and Donruss, among others. Look for these sets to appear on the Baseball Card Cyber Museum one-by-one as they are scanned and organized. Thank you very much to this generous anonymous donor!

2001 Fleer Tradition Baseball Set Added

Thanks to the donation of the set from an anonymous benefactor, the Fleer Tradition 2001 Baseball set of 450 cards is now part of the Baseball Card Cyber Museum.

Currently the museum collection is comprised of all Topps complete base sets from 1951 to the present day (Topps 1952, 1953 and 1954 are reprint sets). Also included are Fleer sets (1988 through 1991), Bowman sets (1989, 1990), Score sets (1988, 1990), Upper Deck sets (1991), and Donruss sets (1987, 1992).

Throwback/tribute sets include the Topps Heritage 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 sets, the Topps 2009 T-206 set, and the Fleer Tradition 2000 and 2001 sets.

For fans of historical baseball cards, the following 12 reprint sets are also included: 1909 T206 set of 524 cards (includes the famous Honus Wagner card); 1911 Turkey Red set of 100 cards; 1915 Cracker Jack set of 176 cards; 1933 Goudey set of 240 cards; 1934 Goudey set of 96 cards; 1939 Play Ball set of 161 cards; 1941 Play Ball set of 72 cards; 1950 Bowman set of 252 cards, 1951 Bowman set of 324 cards, 1952 Bowman set of 252 cards, 1953 Bowman Color set of 160 cards; 1953 Bowman B&W set of 64 cards (listed as an update set).

Note: the below plea was modeled on the annual Wikipedia plea from the Wikipedia's great founder Jimmy Wales.

Google might have close to a million servers. Yahoo has something like 13,000 staff. Wikipedia has 400 servers and 95 staff. In contrast, the Cyber Card Museums have borrowed server space and about 5% of the working time of one (1) staff.

The is the #1,500,462 site on the web and serves 454 different people every month – with thousands of page views.

Commerce is fine. Advertising is not evil. But it doesn't belong in the hallowed halls of the Cyber Card Museums. Not as far as you can throw me.

The Cyber Card Museums are something special. Each is kind of like a real museum, or a public park surrounded by coffee shops and public houses. It is like a temple for the mind of the card fanatic. They are places we can all go to look at cards, to learn about them, to admire the feats of the players pictured on them, and to simply have fun.

When I founded the Cyber Card Museums, I could have made it into a for-profit company with flashing advertising, but I decided to do something in a somewhat different manner. I’ve worked hard over the years to keep it lean and tight. We fulfill our mission, and leave waste to others.

If everyone reading this donated $20, we would only have to fundraise for 745 more days each year (broken down, just a little over 14 days every week!) But not everyone can or will donate. And that's fine. But each year there is the unfounded expectation that just enough people will decide to give.

This year, please consider making a donation of $5, $20, $50 or whatever you can to protect and sustain the Cyber Card Museums.

Rookie Card Designation Added To Card Museums

A designation for Rookie Cards has been added to the cards in the Baseball Card Cyber Museum and the Hockey Card Cyber Museum. You can turn on the Rookie Card designation (shown above, along the right border of the card) by going into the 'Change Preferences' page and selecting 'Show' for the Rookie Card Designation preference.

You'll be able to browse a set and see which cards are considered Rookie Cards at a glance. "Authoritative source(s)" were used to set these designations, but please feel free to direct any corrections to me. There are conflicts between various sources (and even disagreements as to what constitutes a rookie card), so any backup/links to support corrections would be greatly appreciated.

Card Museums Go Mobile: C.C.M. Lite

Just released today are mobile-device friendly versions of the Baseball Card Cyber Museum and the Hockey Card Cyber Museum - think of it as the "lite version" of the Cyber Museums.

Just point your mobile phone, wi-fi enabled Blackberry, or iPod/iPad/iPhone to http://www.guitar9.com/mccm.html.

Bookmark this welcome screen and you'll be able to access the lite version of both museums by either clicking on the home plate, or the hockey puck.

Both lite Cyber Museums allow you to view one card at at time; you can also 'flip' the card to read the information on the back. Simply click the card image to advance to the next card (or click the 'View Next Card' button). You can also skip ahead in a set, by entering a value for the number of cards you want to advance (to quickly get from card #10 to card #400, for example). Buttons are available for increasing or decreasing the card size (if you have compatible hardware).

Clicking "Change View Selection..." allows you to change the current set you are viewing, or, you may choose to focus on a team, a card type, a set type, a player, or some combination thereof.

We've tested the Mobile Cyber Card Museums on an iPod Touch and a Sprint LG. Let us know what devices you've been able to get it working on, and we'll add it to the list.

F.A.Q. #9: Shouldn't There Be More Cards For Player X?

Mark writes, "I just wanted to alert you to the fact that when I searched for "David Cone" the earliest card that comes up is his 1990. If I`m not wrong, I think his first Topps card was from the 1987 traded set."

One thing about Topps is that they were not always consistent with player names on their cards. In fact there were several David Cone cards prior to 1990, but on those cards he appears as "Dave Cone". Another example is that pitcher David Wells is listed as Boomer Wells on a number of cards.

So if you put "David Cone" into the search box, you'll miss all the "Dave Cone" cards, and putting "David Wells" into the search box means you'll miss all the "Boomer Wells" cards. My suggestion to Mark was to use the "Position To" box instead, typing "Code, D" to position to the Cones, starting with "D", which would get you to the Daves, followed by the Davids.

The Pack of 6 is a periodic selection of cards for the Online Newsroom from the Card Cyber Museum fitting a theme, a team, a year, a player, a card type, or anything else anyone can think of. You'll find it at the top of the newsroom, and it allows you to rip open a fresh "Pack of 6" with just a mouse click on your 'Reload/Refresh' browser button.

If there was a way to charge a penny a card (for nostalgia purposes) I would, but it's a free feature. You can even vote on for future days' Packs of 6 in the Online Newsroom's sidebar. Suggestions welcome, and here's hoping you pull some good ones.

Topps T-206 2009 Baseball Set Added

The Topps T-206 2009 Baseball set of 300 cards is now part of the Baseball Card Cyber Museum. The set is a tribute to the 1909 T-206 set (which featured the famous Honus Wagner card), but with modern-day players, as well as Hall of Famers such as Jackie Robinson, Cy Young, Christy Mathewson and the ubiquitous Mickey Mantle. In addition, the 50 variations and 7 Mantle checklists were also added (use 'View By Set Type', then select 'Insert/Special Cards' to view).

Diamond Fantasy Stats/Scores Initialized

Due to the number of changes required when upgrading the Card Museums to the new User/Password system and the number of new visitors, the decision was made to 'reboot' the Diamond Fantasy game. We're starting with a clean slate; all players can now jump in, grab a franchise name and start creating high scores. There are tons of new 'Vintage' cards in the game now, due to the recent completion of the 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1968 sets. Have fun! Let's see who tops the leaderboard as of March 22, 2010!

To get the ball rolling, Joe McAnally's Las Vegas Croupiers posted the first franchise total score of $299,300,000 - easily beatable by even a novice player. Using a Vintage card deck, I managed to snag 6 Astros, with Doug Rader grabbing the M.V.P.

F.A.Q. #8: Topps Heritage Collection

John writes, "Are you planning to at some point include the Topps Heritage collection in the Cyber Museum?"

Well, there are a couple of issues. One is that I don't own any of the Topps Heritage cards, so I don't have them here to scan. I would have to get a hold of all the Heritage cards to date from someone in order to produce the scans, and I'm not sure if anyone can do that.

The other issue is that I don't know a lot about them other than seeing a couple of cards from various sets. How popular are they? What is the appeal to card fans? Do they have staying power and long term appeal, as well as the ability to hold the interest of younger and older collectors alike?

If anyone has a link to a comprehensive and informative site put together by a true enthusiast of the Topps Heritage collection, I'd love to visit and learn more.

New Sign In Method For The Cyber Museums

The method for signing in to the Cyber Museums has changed slightly. The new sign in page appears below, and the main difference is that you may use either your email address and password or your user ID and password to sign in. Also, one set of credentials now gets you into both the Baseball Card Cyber Museum and the Hockey Card Cyber Museum (and hopefully the Football Card Cyber Museum, the Basketball Card Cyber Museum, the Kung Fu Chop Saki Cyber Museum, and all the other future Cyber Museums that the billionaire we are seeking to fund these projects will energize with his capital and vision!)

H.C.C.M.'s Blue Line Trivia Debuts

The Hockey Card Cyber Museum's Blue Line Trivia app is now available for use! This is the Hockey Card equivalent to the Baseball Card Cyber Museum's Diamond Trivia app, which really tests your knowledge of cards.

We're still loading the first series (1-132) of questions into Blue Line Trivia, but you can start using it immediately. Since almost all the cards currently in the Hockey Card Cyber Museum are from the 1970s, you better know your '70s teams, players and coaches!

You can get a free, 30-day access pass to the Hockey Card Cyber Museum, and once you enter the museum, you'll be at Center Ice, where you can then choose to either view hockey cards, or play Blue Line trivia.

Biggest Cyber Museum News Here In 3 Years

This is the biggest change to the Cyber Museum policy since the Museums opened in 2007.

Thanks to extremely affordable Google image hosting, the Baseball Card Cyber Museum and the Hockey Card Cyber Museum are now able to open to more simultaneous visitors (now 100 visitors, instead of the previous 20), and can offer one-month (30 day) Visitor Passes, instead of the 4-day passes that were previously offered!

This is very exciting for us here. The transition to Google image hosting is currently in progress, but we're able to make the policy changes above effective immediately! When the transition is complete, the images will load faster than ever before.

If you are a blogger or other social media maven, please alert your fan base, followers and friends that the Card Cyber Museums are now bigger than ever, and offer a much richer experience for all their visitors.

Important! If you are a millionaire, billionaire, or just an independently wealthy retiree, you love sports trading cards, and you love what's being built and shared here, then contact us - we need your help. F.A.Q. #6: Why Am I Sometimes Redirected To Another Site?

Several visitors have written something like this, "After i enter my user id and password I am redirected to a spam prevention site (or a guitar site, or a guitar heroes site). Am I doing something wrong or is there trouble with the site?"

There are three likely possibilities.

1. The user and password were not entered exactly as given in the email. They are case-sensitive.

2. The URL in the browser has been changed somehow, and is invalid; that situation is always going to result in some kind of redirection. Since the site is hosted on a guitar site, sometimes a guitar page appears.

3. There is some temporary, or unique problem. In that case, please let me know through this Online Newsroom or the 'Comments' link on the Card Museum(s) main page.

F.A.Q. #5: Can I Keep Track Of My Collection On Your Site?

Eric writes, "Car you set up a website where: any collector can pay a monthly fee to YOU to be able to SECURELY keep track of his OWN collection in a cd-rom type `folder` and if he/she wants to see what cards he/she has, they can look up "Reggie Jackson Topps 1981 #459" and whamo, "YES, I HAVE THAT CARD" and they can also verify it by the picture. they can see a "stock photo" picture of the card and `fill in` how many they have, what condition etc. How does that sound to you?"

Sure, it's a good idea, but it changes what this site is about, which is a private collection that I wanted to share. It also sounds like you're describing zistle.com which allows you to set up your own cards using their database. I'm not crazy about the way they display cards, or their images, but they were established from the beginning to let you input your own collection, and if you participate in their community you could request card display enhancements.

Also, if you are using Google image search, and you go to the trouble of keying "Reggie Jackson Topps 1981 #459" then whammo! You will see that card.

New Navigation Buttons

The main navigation buttons (View By Player, View By Team, View By Set, etc.) have been redesigned (in CSS, for you techies),

Team/Set/Year/Type Selection Now Auto Hides

Previously, when viewing by set, team, year, card type and set type, the additional selection options for a particular set, team or year would appear under the navigation buttons; in some cases, taking up a large portion of the upper part of the browser window.

Now, simply hover over the <make selection> in the middle of the screen after choosing one of the above viewing options. When you do, you'll be able to quickly select the set, team or year you'd like to view, and the selection section will then obediently auto hide.

View Sets In Numerical Order

Requested by a user a long time ago, now you have the option of viewing a set in card number order, as well as positioning to a card by its number when in that view.

Generally, cards appear in alphabetical order. But when viewing by Set (or Traded Set), you have the option of viewing cards in numerical order. Simply click the (#) link next to the set name to browse in card number order.

Card Museum Tips And Set Notes

Now, Card Museum Tips (our help information) and Set Notes appear as links below the main card display. When clicked, the tips and notes appear as windows over the main display. Correspondingly, the Preferences dealing with Showing/Hiding Tips and Notes have been eliminated.

Card Flow Comes To Baseball/Hockey Card Cyber Museums

Both the Baseball Card and the Hockey Card Cyber Museums now feature 'Card Flow' as an viewing option when browsing card sets.

If you're one of the millions of people who use Apple's cover flow within the iTunes software, or on their iPhone or iPod touch, you already understand the graphical idea at work here. Image flowing is also becoming very common on photography sites, as it is a great way to browse a photo collection.

Simply click on the 'Preferences' link at the upper right of the main display, then select either 'Card Flow 9' (shows nine cards) or 'Card Flow 18' (loads 18 cards) as the Card Display format. Update your changes, then you'll be viewing cards as they 'flow' under your control from left to right and back again. You'll notice much longer load times if you choose 'Card Flow 18', as the program has to load all 18 images before showing the cards. The 'Flip' button and double clicking on a card to zoom still work the same way.

I'd love to hear how you like this new display option. Also, if you run into any problems using it, feel free to post your issues here in the Online Newsroom.

We've just complete scanning Topps 2009 Baseball Series 2, featuring 330 cards, now part of the Baseball Card Cyber Museum.

Currently the museum collection comprises all Topps complete base sets from 1969 to the present day, as well as reprints of the 1952, 1953 and 1954 sets. The 1964 Topps base set is also presented in complete form, while sets from 1960, '61, '62, '63, '65, '66, '67 and '68 are shown in progress, with about 300 to 500 cards per card year.

For fans of historical baseball cards, the following 12 reprint sets are also included: 1909 T206 set of 524 cards (includes the famous Honus Wagner card); 1911 Turkey Red set of 100 cards; 1915 Cracker Jack set of 176 cards; 1933 Goudey set of 240 cards; 1934 Goudey set of 96 cards; 1939 Play Ball set of 161 cards; 1941 Play Ball set of 72 cards; 1950 Bowman set of 252 cards, 1951 Bowman set of 324 cards, 1952 Bowman set of 252 cards, 1953 Bowman Color set of 160 cards; 1953 Bowman B&W set of 64 cards (listed as an update set).

Diamond Fantasy™: Version 2.0 Debuts

Following are the enhancements added to the new version, available at the Baseball Card Cyber Museum:

2.0: Integrated DiamondTicker and DiamondWire

The most visual change to the game is that the DiamondTicker and DiamondWire windows have now been integrated into the game board. Having separate windows provided a few advantages, but overall it was more work to manage multiple windows in the course of the game. For example, if you wanted to minimize the whole game board, you had to minimize three different windows (then later open up three windows). Now it is just one mouse click. Also, the Diamond Ticker has greater importance now, as it is capable of showing your current reserves (a new feature).

2.0: New Preference: Auto-check Protected Card on Draft

If you find you usually end up drafting the players you protect, you can set the new preference "Auto-check Protected Card on Draft" to "Yes". This will check off the protected players' "Draft" check box for you, as a default. Of course, you are always free to change your mind and not draft the player. This was an option added almost as an afterthought, but after turning it on, you'll find you can blast through the early rounds of the game much quicker.

2.0: The Reserve Clause

St. Louis Cardinals centerfielder Curt Flood sued Major League Baseball in 1970 on account of the reserve clause, which allowed team owners to treat players like property or "chattel" and ignore factors such as player loyalty and fan sentiment. The reserve clause is long gone in baseball, but interestingly, baseball cards have always been treated as property. So, in Diamond Fantasy™ the reserve system makes a comeback.

In a nutshell, you'll now have the ability to add to your "reserves" (non-roster) up to three players previously passed on in the current protect/draft round. You'll have to wait until you have a full roster (nine players) drafted and up on the board to take advantage of this feature, but when you do you you'll be able to build up your very own reserve squad and begin treating your players like chattel, just like Mr. Busch, Mr. Mack and Mr. Rickey!

The fun comes in when you think it through and realize the number of different things you can do with three additional 'slots'. The number of permutations added with this feature alone are staggering. You'll be able to move players back and forth from your reserves to your active roster, and also waive reserves (put them on waivers, so to speak), when you no longer find it to your advantage to keep them around. Your opponent, the Kansas City Monarchs, will also be building a reserve squad, in order to compete with you at a higher level.

This is an advanced game feature that you can ignore if you like, and gradually introduce it into your game play as you start experimenting with it. Click on the "Help" link and then "The Reserve Clause" under "Advanced Game Play" in order to learn all the guidelines when dealing with reserves.

2.0: Extra Protect/Draw Investment

Everyone has heard the phrase, "It takes money to make money," usually in reference to the need to invest (or risk) funds in the hope of generating a greater return. And players of Diamond Fantasy™ are already familiar with the ability to earn an extra Protect/Draw per round when their roster is comprised of all National League or American League players.

But what if your roster is mixed across leagues, and you find your franchise flush with extra cash? Now you can put that money to work for you.

You'll now be presented, once per round after round 1, the opportunity to invest in one additional Protect/Draw, for an investment fee equal to roughly 10% of your current franchise's worth. This gives you the ability to see many more cards (if you use it a lot), or helps you to possibly complete a team (if used sparingly in the later rounds).

This is an advanced game feature that you can ignore if you like, and gradually introduce it into your game play when you feel you really need access to more cards. Click on the "Help" link and then "Protect/Draw Investment" under "Advanced Game Play" in order to learn more.

2.0: Tender Offers For Trades

A ubiquitous feature of Diamond Fantasy™ is the ability to trade players with the Monarchs whenever a Manager card appears on the board. Now there is an alternate way to swap players during a round, and that is, to accept a Tender Offer from the Monarchs to effect a trade. You'll see a link called "Browse Tender Offers for Trades" appear below the roster lists whenever this is possible. Click it, and you'll bring up the DiamondOfferSheet window, which lists all the possible deals the Monarchs are willing to make with you. All offers involve at least a million dollars in cash (your cash!) for the right to trade players immediately, without waiting for a manager card.

The prices may seem a bit steep at times, but remember to factor in the money you earn from any trade as an offset to the price. The prices fluctuate up and down during the game, and can get even higher towards the end of the game.

This is an advanced game feature that you can ignore if you like, and gradually introduce it into your game play when you see a Monarchs player you absolutely have to have immediately. Click on the "Help" link and then "Tender Offers" under "Advanced Game Play" in order to learn more.

2.0: New Preference: Revert to Basic Game Format

The new preference "Revert to Basic Game Format", when set to "Yes", allows you to play the game without the three new advanced 2.0 features (The Reserve Clause, Extra Protect/Draw Investment, Tender Offers For Trades). Why would you want to use this feature when each of the advanced features can be ignored during the game anyway? It is probably the best way to introduce a younger player to the game; without the distracting advanced features showing up, they can concentrate on protecting, drawing and building a team. Warning: once you've gotten used to the advanced features, going back to the basic version will make you feel as if your arms have been cut off, your cell phone's been stolen and you've been traded to Boise!

2.0: All-Area Team In-Game Bonuses

Do you have divided loyalties? This whimsical new in-game bonus may be just for you. Click on the "Scoring" link at the top of the game board, and you'll see a new in-game bonus called "All-Area Team Bonuses". This means if you build a roster of all players in specific team combinations (must be 5 players from one team and 4 players from another team) you can get a $10 million in-game bonus. You can also click there to get a list of combos, which are pretty easy to guess, such as the All-Chicago team (Cubs and Sox), the All-Canada team (Expos and Blue Jays), and the All-Bay Area team (Giants and Athletics).

It's more challanging than you might think, as many times you can get 6 players from one team and 3 from another and can't quite pull off the 5/4 split. Among the more esotaric combos are the All-Milwaukee team (Braves and Brewers, recalling that the Braves were in Milwaukee at one time) and the All-Mountain Time Zone team (Diamondbacks and Rockies). There are 16 combos in all; 4 teams didn't make a combo (Padres, Red Sox, Twins and Tigers), while 2 teams are in 2 different combos (Nationals and Cardinals).

2.0: Player Metrics

If you click the "Stats" link at the top of the game board, there is a link on that window called "View Deck", which shows you all the cards in the current deck at the same time. You can now click on "Stats" to see a new link next to "View Deck" called "View Player Metrics", which lists all the players in the game (grouped by position) and the basic stats that were used to create an initial player value. Sometimes you might be curious to know why a player such as Cesar Cedeno is the highest rated centerfielder in a given deck, while a power player such as Nate Colbert rates a measly $500,000 valuation at first base. The Player Metrics has the answers. Remember, the valuations are based upon the last season listed on the player's baseball card (ie. the 1972 season on Cesar Cedeno's 1973 card).

2.0: Game Log

A new link at the top of the game board, "Log", shows you an in-game, round-by-round summary of activity. The display can be set to show just scoring activity, or scoring activity plus all roster moves. There is an additional option you can use at the end of the game to show everything (cards drawn, cards passed up, Monarchs' discards, etc.) for a more-than-you-need-to-know breakdown of the activity taken by you and your opponent. The reason it's only available at the end of the game is that, if you think of Diamond Fantasy™ as a computer assisted, simulated card game, then looking at the complete game log during play would be like rummaging through the stack of discards in a rummy game - bad form!

2.0: Game Save

There has always been kind of an "accidental" game save, but now it works a little better. The game save is automatic, so closing the game board window and opening it up later (or the next day) will place you exactly where you were before. Just make sure there are all player cards showing on the game board, in other words, that you have the big green "Draw" or "Draft" button showing, so when the window is closed, you'll pick it up at that point. Note: games older than 30 days will be deleted.

2.0: Window Locations

External windows opened up from the links at the top of the game board (About, Help, Stats, Team Zoom, etc.) now hug the right edge of the game board (assuming you haven't resized your game board window, in which case, all bets are off).

Just added is the 1980-81 O-Pee-Chee Hockey Set of 396 cards, now part of the Hockey Card Cyber Museum.

Currently the collection comprises all the Topps complete sets from 1970 through 1979, and the O-Pee-Chee set from 1980. Next up is the O-Pee-Chee complete set from 1981-82.

Recently the Topps 2008 Series 2 recently came through the door of the hollow tree I work out of, nicely sorted by the professional card sorter I apparently acquired them from (I think those guys are underpaid). Scanning has begun for inclusion into the Baseball Card Cyber Museum, appropriately enough, with #331, the Giants' Dave Roberts, who is known as a true pro, and had his first season with the club interrupted by elbow surgery - which you would know already if you read your card backs!

1978-79 Topps Hockey Set Added

Hot off the scanner is the 1978-79 Topps Hockey Set of 264 cards, now part of the Hockey Card Cyber Museum.

Currently the collection comprises all the Topps complete sets from 1970 through 1979. The next group of sets will be the 10 '80s O-Pee-Chee sets, and in particular, the 1980-81 O-Pee-Chee complete set.

Card Musuem Viewing Enhancements

If you visited the Baseball Card Cyber Musuem in 2007 you may have noticed a few enhancements that were added to the main card display just prior to the launch of the Hockey Card Cyber Museum. Here is a short list of some of the key enhancements:

View by Favorites. In addition to the View by Player, Team, Set, Year, etc. buttons, there is a new view: View by Favorites. This, with one click, allows you to view your favorite cards with one click. That begs the question, how does one designate one's favorite cards? Read on...

Designate Favorites. To designate a card as a Favorite, simple click the player's name under the card (you'll see a star icon (representing a favorite) appear next to the player name). Then click on View By Favorites to see all your favorite cards in alphabetical order. Additionally, clicking on a player's name who is already a favorite will remove the favorite status from that card.

Previous Page Button. When paging through cards, it was always possible to page forward, and use the 'Back' button on the browser to see the previous page. Well, mostly, as most of you know, the 'Back' button on the browser doesn't always work very well. Now a new Previous Page button will appear after you have paged forward, allowing better navigation.

Expanded Preferences. Clicking on the button called 'Change Preferences' will reveal a whole host of new defaults that can be changed to your liking - a great way to always see your team's cards first (or your favorite player) when entering the Card Cyber Museum.

F.A.Q. #3: Restarting Diamond Fantasy

When beginning from the Baseball themed start page, The Baseball Card Cyber Museum: Home Plate, clicking on the large Diamond Fantasy icon will get you into the game. If the last game has been completed, the display will feature a 'Start New Game' button.

F.A.Q. #2: Are There More Sites Like Yours?

Scott writes about the Hockey Card Cyber Museum, "Love the site. This is something that I've been looking for. Oustanding job by you! Do you know of a similar site that would contain more from the '90s?"

The short answer. No, but I don't spend a lot of time looking anymore either.

The slightly longer answer (with hope). No, but as I stated on the HCCM home page, at some point all O-Pee-Chee complete sets from 1980-1989, and all Upper Deck complete sets from 1990 through the present day will be there - which, of course, means the '90s would be well represented.

The even longer answer. No, at this point I hope I don't find one, because a large part of the driving force behind the site was doing something that wasn't being done already. I have no desire to reinvent the wheel, and as deadly boring as scanning is, I doubt too many folks are going to get juiced about starting up another site that basically amounts to the same thing - but I could be wrong about this.

Just completed is the 1977-78 Topps Hockey Set of 264 cards, now part of the Hockey Card Cyber Museum.

Currently the collection comprises Topps complete sets from 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977 and 1979. The next set up will be the 1978 Topps set.

As an aside, I don't know if other collectors have found this to be the case, but I find the 1977 set to be one of the most poorly centered sets out there, on average (pack-to-pack, top-to-bottom, side-to-side). You have to wonder if it wasn't done on purpose this way at the time, to make getting a nicely centered card a real challange. You can say the same about the baseball sets of the late '70s as well.
