Joe,

I have an prepared email that I would like to send you concerning some discrepancies on your site but I cannot find a way to email you at all. Please provide me with some means to contact you. Thanks.

Robert, I would love it if you would post them here, I check this blog often, and like to use this as my to-do list.

Hello Joe,
The main reason I am writing you is that I have been carefully going through the BBC Museum and have found some discrepancies. Now please understand that I am pointing these out because I feel that you would want to have the site as accurate as possible, considering all the hard work you've put into it. I've struggled over whether to even mention these or just let it go, but I think it would be more important to you to know these exist. But considering you've scanned and uploaded literally thousands upon thousands of cards, I'd say this is a pretty damn small list.

Here's my list of what I've found (all sets are Topps):

1956 #90 should be Cincinnati Reds team card; instead it's Ray Jablonski.
1956 #147 should be Earl Torgeson; instead is Washington Senators team card.
Also, Earl Torgeson's name should be spelled "Torgeson" not "Torgensen".
1958 #289 should be Series Hurling Rivals but has Harry Simpson.

1960 #006 should be Lou Berberet but has Bob Purkey.
1960 #488 should be Norm Cash but has Bobby Del Greco.
1961 #67 should be Ozzie Virgil but has Al Pilarcik.
1961 #556 Ken R. Hunt (pitcher Cincinnati Reds) is missing.
1964 #516 is missing; should be rookie stars.
1965 #537 Angels Rookies is missing.
1966 #543 Roger Craig is missing.
1967 #505 Tommy Helms is missing.
1968 #23 Chico Cardenas is missing.

1971 #184 should be Stan Bahnsen but has Gil Hodges on front; back is OK.
1975 #195 should be "1957" MVPs not "1958" MVPs both fron and back.
1977 #23 should be Dan Driessen but has Woodie Fryman on front and back.

2001 #304 should be Sean Bergman but has Peter Bergeron on front.

2008 Topps Traded set is missing 7 cards.
#61 Randy Wolf is missing.
#71 Mariano Rivera is missing.
#80 Erik Bedard is missing.
#81 (???) is missing.
#203 Joe Crede is missing.
#264 David Ortiz is missing.
#316 Ben Sheets is missing.

That's it. Everything else looks super.

Awesome, I will work on fixing these and will post back here when done.

I think I knocked out fixes from 1956 to 1977 at this point.

Joe,
Looking good. Some corrections have been made. Here is what still remains:

1956 #90 Cincinnati Reds team card is showing Ray Jablonski.
1956 #147 Earl Torgeson is showing Washington Senators team card.
1957 & 1958 Earl TorgeNson name misspelled. Should be Torgeson; no N.
1958 #289 Series Hurling Rivals is showing Harry Simpson.
1967 #505 Tommy Helms is missing.
1968 #23 Chico Cardenas is showing Julian Javier.
1975 #195 "1957 MVPs” is showing "1958 MVPs”. There are duplicate "1958 MVPs and no 1957.
2001 #304 Sean Bergman is showing Peter Bergeron on front, back is ok.
2008 Topps Traded has 7 errors:
#61 Randy Wolf is showing Matt Albers.
#71 Mariano Rivera is showing Chad Moeller.
#80 Erik Bedard is showing Dallas Braden.
#81 J.C. Romero is showing Willie Harris.
#203 Joe Crede is showing Franquelis Osoria.
#264 David Ortiz is showing Eric Patterson.
#316 Ben Sheets is showing Wilson Betemit.

Hey Robert:

I believe I nailed all these today, I can't believe you found these errors, amazing! They were not that trivial to fix some of them, but I think I got them. On a few occasions I had to reload my browser (clear cache) but not in every situation.

Joe,
What an outstanding job!!! I only see 2 minor ones remaining. 1967 Topps #505 Tommy Helms is still missing. I don't see it when searching by player or by 1967 set. And I've just noticed that 1967 #574 Jerry Buchek is showing 'landscape' instead of 'portrait'. Otherwise, the museum is Perfect!

The reason I found all of these is because I'm 60 years old and at some point in my life I've held just about every one of these cards in the museum in my hands. First set I completed as an 8 year old was the 1958 Topps.

Robert:

Helms is there, the sorting is messed up, if you go to 1967 alpha and hit 'Tommy' he'll appear, or go to 1967 numerically, and hit 505 . I will fix the sort field.

I'll fix the Buchek too right now.

Looked at it this morning, looked OK, this is great, I'd love to get information as close to 100% as possible, and we've taken a nice step towards that this week! Thank you.

Yes Sir!
Got it. Helms is OK now. It all looks fantastic! Thanks so much for getting these fixes up-to-date. And thanks for such an awesome museum too.
